Terms of booking
Last updated: 31 August 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
Courses are provided by Acadex Training Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 17306283, registered office 33 Barratt Gardens, Middleton, Manchester, M24 5JU.
2. Making a booking
Selecting a date and completing the booking form places a provisional booking. Your place is held for a short period while you complete payment, and is not confirmed until payment succeeds.
If payment is not completed within that window, the place is released and may be taken by someone else. A contract is formed when we send your booking confirmation email, not when you submit the form.
3. Prices
The price shown is the total you pay. It includes a booking fee per person, which covers the cost of taking payment — the fee is already in every price you see, so nothing is added at checkout. The same fee applies however you choose to pay. Prices include any applicable taxes.
Prices can change, but never after you have booked — the price confirmed in your confirmation email is the price that applies.
4. Course requirements
Each course page lists its requirements, which may include a minimum age, photographic identification, or a level of English. By booking you confirm that you and any attendees you book for meet them.
We verify age at the point of booking using the date of birth you provide. Providing inaccurate information may mean we cannot enrol you, and in that case no refund will be due.
5. Bringing identification
For licence-linked qualifications you must bring photographic identification on the first day. We cannot register you with the awarding body without it, and we cannot make an exception — this is an awarding body requirement, not ours.
6. Attendance
Qualifications require attendance for the full course. If you miss part of it you may not be able to complete the assessment, and no refund or partial refund will be due. If something happens during a course, tell us as soon as possible.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Set out in full in our cancellation and refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Behaviour
Our courses cover conflict management and physical intervention, and they depend on a safe environment. We may ask anyone to leave who behaves in a way that puts others at risk, or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refund will be due.
9. Results and certificates
Assessment outcomes are determined by the awarding body, Highfield Qualifications, not by us. We cannot guarantee that you will pass. Certificates are issued by the awarding body and timescales are outside our control.
Completing a course does not guarantee that the SIA will grant you a licence — that is a separate application and decision.
10. Changes to a course
We may need to change a venue, time or instructor. We will tell you as soon as we can. If a change is significant and does not suit you, you may move to another date or receive a full refund.
11. Our liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
Otherwise, our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses, including lost earnings or travel and accommodation costs.
12. Your personal information
Handled as described in our privacy policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
