Acadex Training Ltd is a Manchester-based training provider specialising in the qualifications the private security industry actually asks for. We deliver SIA licence-linked courses — Door Supervisor, Security Guard and CCTV Operator — alongside Emergency First Aid at Work.

Taught by people who have done the job

Our instructors have worked in the industry, not just studied it. That shows up in the parts of the job a textbook cannot teach you: reading a situation before it escalates, handling a refusal without it becoming a confrontation, writing an incident report that stands up later.

Small groups, practical training

We keep class sizes deliberately small. It means you get answers to your own questions rather than someone else’s, and it means the practical elements are genuinely practical — real equipment, realistic scenarios, and enough time on each.

Support through licensing, not just the exam

Passing the course is one step. Applying for an SIA licence is another, and it catches people out. We take you through what the application needs and what to expect, so the qualification turns into work.

Training a whole team

Employers putting several people through at once can book a private course: the same qualification, at our centre, with only your people in the room.
